Child Caregiver

$17 - $19 / hour

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Child Caregiver to join our team at SYNERGY HomeCare of Piscataway in Plainfield, New Jersey. As a Child Caregiver with our organization, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families by providing high-quality care and support. Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to children with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, or complex medical conditions in a home-based setting

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each child

  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding

  • Engage in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development, including play therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of care and progress

  • Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and collaboration

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in early childhood education, social work, or a related field preferred

  • Experience working with children with special needs

  • Basic life support certification (CPR/First Aid) and TB test required

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
