JOB SUMMARY

The Licensed practical nurse performs a variety of patient care activities and assists the provider and nursing staff to maintain the highest standard practice of care in accordance with state licensure regulations. They are responsible for restocking of supplies in the work area and maintaining a safe working environment.

Education:

Graduate from an accredited school of practical or vocational nursing program.

Certification & Licensures:

Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Missouri.

BLS certification.

Experience:

Skill in taking vital signs, history, attention to detail, patient education and instruction, and multi-tasking.

Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public.

Ability to maintain quality control standard and maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations.

Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions. Assume responsibility for professional growth and development.

Ability to learn and efficiency utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting physician with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling including care and chart management. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of clinic. Collect, process routine testing, and returning results back to doctor. Obtain, process doctor’s orders, and data entry. Provide good customer service on the phone, patients, doctors, and other medical staff. Work well under pressure. Perform CLIA waived moderate testing. The RN provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinic setting. Documentation meets current standards and policies. Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly. Is flexible, organized and functions under stressful situations.
