These duties are essential to the overall functioning of the clinic. Under the direction and supervision of both the registered nurses and medical assistants, and in accordance with the policies of Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, procedures, protocols and standards of practice, you will participate in the delivery of patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary clinic team. You will also work with other medical assistants, registered nurses, and providers throughout the shift; determine appropriate assignments, priorities, and gather patient clinical information during triage. In this role, you will also be responsible for communicating the status of delegated task completion and outcome of patient data findings. The clinic is open M, W, F 8am-5pm and T, Th 8am-8pm. Responsibilities : Essential Duties/Clinical Support: Collaborates with RN and multidisciplinary team to conduct admission interviews, assessments and to determine appropriate work assignment, priorities. Will communicate status of delegated task completion as well as outcome of patient data findings to the appropriate staff member on the team while maintaining timely ongoing verbal communication to ensure good patient care.
