The Staffing Resource Team (SRT) is comprised of full time staff that float through the Dartmouth Hitchcock inpatient units, located at DHMC based on our current staffing needs. They provide critical support to departments with current staffing needs.

Responsibilities

Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care.

Utilizes critical thinking and the nursing process to anticipate and recognize changes in patient status, taking action to modify the plan of care or to elevate to the care team as necessary.

Practices in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics to advocate for patients, uphold their autonomy in decision-making, ensure informed consent and assist patients in families in expressing self-determination.

Actively seeks feedback and acts to improve performance.

Engages in the governance of practice.

Manages interpersonal relationships for self and with others.

Mentors colleagues for the advancement of nursing practice and the profession.

Assumes authority and accountability for the nursing care of patients while appropriately delegating elements of care to others members of the care delivery team in accordance with laws, regulations and policies and procedures.

Prioritizes and organizes time to optimize patient outcomes.

Actively seeks out the most current evidence and standards and applies and translates to daily practice.

Role models a culture of inquiry, developing new knowledge by contributing to research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice at the local level.

Transferor

Communicates effectively in a variety of formats in all areas of practice.

Actively partners with others to effect change that produces positive outcomes through the exchange of knowledge.

Precepts the student nurse, nurse extern, nurse resident, experienced clinical nurse and other members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) with 1 year of experience.
Associate Degree (ADN) prepared nurses with 2 years' experience.

Required Licensure/Certifications

Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required upon hire and as applicable, higher level per unit certification requirements as stated on the grid attached to the AHA and Life Support Policy
ACLS Certificate required upon hire in Endoscopy, Tele-ICU, Day Surgery Center at CGP (Manchester), Life Safety and Cardiology-Echocardiography

Nurse Manager -Family Medicine Newport Health Center

Overview At the direction of the Director of Clinical Services, and in collaboration with Ambulatory Leadership, provides guidance and leadership for the clinical practice of the staff in the ambulatory settings at Newport Health Center (NHC). Accountable for the quality of nursing care service, in accordance with the NH Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and the NH Board of Nursing rules for delegated nursing tasks. Collaborates with Medical Director, providers and Practice Leadership to assure development and ongoing competence of the clinical support staff. Works closely with the NLH Primary Care Operations team to build consistent clinical processes across locations. Collaborates with the CNO to assure that system nursing practice goals and expectations are met. Responsibilities Clinical Operations Directly responsible for operational and performance management of RN/LPN, CMA, and other clinical staff in the NLH Medical Group Practice (direct reports). Manages Clinical Schedule, Time Away, and Payroll for Direct Reports, and collaborates with Practice Leadership to provide consistent appropriate clinical coverage to NLMG Providers. Develops and implements program for the onboarding of new clinical staff. Provides leadership in emergent situations and in those that require activation of the Emergency Activation Plan. Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of emergency preparedness in order to function as a resource to staff. Maintains clinical skills in order to provide direct care as needed.
