 What You’ll Do

  • Provide total comprehensive nursing to patients and their families through the implementation of a plan of care.
  • Provide care for a diverse patient population, including trauma related injuries, bariatric surgery, total joint surgery, general surgery, neuro/spine surgery, and oncology patients
  • Participate in bedside shift reports and purposeful hourly rounding
  • Conduct multiple disciplinary rounds for discharge progresses

Position Offering: Shift: Rotating shifts - current need is night shift with rotating weekend & holidays Hours: Full time; 36 hours per week; three 12 hour shifts a week Entity: UNC Medical Center Location: Chapel Hill, NC 4 Neurosciences is comprised of three adult units which serve specific mental health populations. Geropsychiatry is a 10-bed unit serving geriatric patients admitted for the management of multiple medical and mental health issues. Crisis Stabilization is a 15-bed unit with nursing care provided to patients hospitalized for stabilization during acute mental health episodes. Perinatal Psychiatry is a 5-bed unit solely focused on treatment of women with psychiatric disorders during pregnancy or post-partum.
