Overview Job Description: Intensive Care; Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant-PRN Job Summary: Intensive Care Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) Physician Assistant (P.A.) will provide advanced care to critically ill patients in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting, collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of surgical and critically ill patients. Diagnose and manage acute and life-threatening conditions, including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, multi-organ dysfunction, etc. Develop and implement treatment plans, that include but not limited to ventilator management and advanced life support interventions. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as chest X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, arterial blood gases (ABGs), and echocardiograms. Perform procedures that include, but not limited to central line placement, arterial line placements, intubation, chest tube insertion, and lumbar punctures, Vascath, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Cardioversion.
