What You’ll Do:
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care by utilizing the nursing process and maintaining accountability for assigned patients. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless care and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions delivered by the care team. Uphold patient rights and maintain strict confidentiality in all interactions. Position Details:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate degree, Diploma, or BSN).

  • Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must meet state board requirements.

  • Certifications: American Heart Association BLS and ACLS required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Review and approve patient information submitted by the licensed professional during a start of care, recertification, resumption of care, or evaluation visit. Facilitate the relationship between physicians, referral sources, patients, caregivers, and employees. Audit and validate OASIS documents ensuring clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance with Medicare guidelines, support correct reimbursement, and collaborate with field clinicians to correct documentation discrepancies to support quality and operational efficiency. Qualifications Must be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing. Must be licensed in the state in which they currently practice, or in accordance with the board of nursing rules for nurse licensure compact for the state in which they practice. Must have at least two years of nursing experience. Must have one year experience in home health or hospice. Must have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the federal, state, and local laws and regulatory guidelines that govern a home care operation. Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device. Education and experience, preferred Previous experience in management is preferred. Our Mercy Hospital Fort Smith Dedicated Education Unit is an 18-bed unit focused on teaching eager and upcoming graduate nurses the fundamental skills necessary to be successful. We are looking to build a team of highly engaged nurses who have a passion for education, patient care, and best practices. This unit will care for Medical Telemetry patients with a 4:1 patient to nurse ratio (day shift only). Each nurse will act as a preceptor to two senior level nursing students who will take total care of the 4 patients. A clinical rotation preceptor will also be available for support/oversight of the students.
