Ultimately, the Nurse Practitioner contributes to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall efficiency of the gastroenterology practice. Minimum Qualifications: Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the United States. Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a recognized certifying body (e.g., ANCC or AANP). Experience or clinical training in gastroenterology or related specialty.
