Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details:

Location: This position floats between Bethpage and Stony Brook must be comfortable commuting between both clinics.
Schedule: Must be able to work Monday - Saturday, Open schedule availability required.
The candidate must speak English and Spanish fluently
Compensation: $20-$26/hr

Key Responsibilities:

Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required.
Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required.
Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required.

Emp Status Regular Full time Work Shift Day (United States of America) Compensation Range The base pay scale for this position is $33.14 - $34.13. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. Working with colleagues who love what they do and are deeply committed to our Mission, you too can be part of our transformation across the enterprise Medical Assistant Full Time 8 AM - 4:15 PM Ensuring the delivery of the highest quality of patient care, you will assist staff nurses in providing comprehensive attention to patients and families, while working in an environment that commands clinical excellence every day. Your duties will include providing input for patient care plans, reviewing patient status, and assisting in obtaining patient data. Other responsibilities will entail monitoring changes in patient conditions, supporting admission and discharge processes, and making patients and families feel at home. The desired individual will have a High School diploma , NHA MA OR AMT MA WITH EXPIRATION DATE , BLS ( AH). Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service strengths will also be vital to this role.
