Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
  • Monitor, assess, and document residents’ conditions and responses to care
  • Collaborate with CNAs, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, policies, and quality standards

Qualifications

 

  • Maryland LPN license, valid and in good standingBLS certification
  • Compassionate, patient-focused personality
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing preferred but not required
  • Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Reports changes in patient status to the RN and members of the health care team as they occur and communicate information in verbal and written reports that describe care delivered to the patient. Collaborates with the RN on an on-going basis regarding effective nursing interventions and patient care. Provides direction and supervision of the patient care associates demonstrates professional judgement problem solving techniques time-management principles and delegates appropriately.
