Job Summary:

Join our team of compassionate care professionals at Central Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, where we strive to create a "home away from home" for our residents. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. We are seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our team and begin their career in the medical field.

Position Overview:

This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to start your career in the medical field and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents. As a Resident Assistant, you will work alongside our interdisciplinary team to provide care to our residents, including assisting with daily living activities, serving meals, and conducting rounds. You will also be required to take our Paid CNA class once in session, which is a great opportunity to advance your skills and knowledge in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to call bells promptly

  • Assist with transporting residents

  • Distribute clothing protectors before meals

  • Serve meal trays and assist with meal setup as needed

  • Make beds, tidy resident rooms, and refill water pitchers

  • Assist CNAs with showers (prepare supplies, clothes, make beds)

  • Conduct rounds to ensure cleanliness of the units

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently

  • Strong moral character, patience, and a caring attitude toward the geriatric population

  • Willingness to follow directions and learn new concepts and procedures

  • Ability to remain on your feet for the majority of the workday

  • Full range of motion for tasks such as kneeling, reaching, and lifting

  • Physically capable of lifting or moving up to 35-lbs without assistance
