The scheduled hours are 34 hours per week, Monday & Wednesday, 7am-6pm, Tuesday & Thursday, 7am-1pm, and Friday, 7-11am. What You’ll Do Provides direct patient care and collaboration under the supervision of healthcare providers, and within scope of practice Performs and documents medical tasks to include medication administration wound care, observes reactions to treatments, and specimen collection such as urine, blood, and sputum based on provider orders Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records Performs other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school Currently Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in state of practice required Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required At least three years of clinical experience as LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed. Initiate basic CPR measures in the event of cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest, and respond to emergency situations related to dialysis treatment. Technical: Safely operate all dialysis related equipment according to the proper procedures. Provide minor troubleshooting when necessary. Ensure a clean, safe and sanitary environment in the dialysis facility treatment area. Ensure all blood spills are immediately addressed according to FMCNA Bloodborne Pathogen Control Policies. Operate all emergency equipment effectively in accordance to the standard operation procedures. Staff Related: Participate in staff meetings as scheduled. Assist in short term and long term patient care plan meetings. Acquire information and knowledge in current practice related to dialysis principals and technique by participating in scheduled in-service classes. Act as a resource person for other staff members. EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred. Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required. ICU experience preferred but not required. Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis. Successfully complete CPR Certification. Must complete the Nurses Technical Training Program upon hire or soon thereafter. Ability to provide coverage at area facilities during times of short-staffing or as required.
