We are currently searching for a Registered Nurse to work in the Health Center.  In this role, the RN is responsible to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with state and federal standards.  This position reports to the Director of Nursing. 
Schedule: Part-time position, 20-30 hours per week,  Weekdays and Weekends availability | 1st shift-7am to 3pm 

Essential position functions:

  1. Manage all admissions and discharges that occur on the day shift
  2. Meet with each Med nurse to review day case load and special responsibilities
  3. Review all new admissions from previous day to ensure admission check list is completed
  4. Complete or verify completion of daily skilled documentation for all Med A residents that were assigned for day team
  5. Review labs and x-rays and ensure all have been addressed
  6. Complete all skin inspections and Braden inspections according to schedule
  7. Review doctor’s orders for new and current residents; ensure that care is being provided based on current orders.
  8. Coordinate care through communication with resident’s family members, physicians, and other health care providers.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.  
  2. Must be CPR Certified.  

Experience:

  1. One year of long term care desirable. Home Health, Emergency Room experience helpful. Also experience working with developmentally disabled adults.
