NHC HealthCare Oakwood is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as our Weekend Unit Manager, RN. This full-time leadership role works every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and provides clinical leadership for an assigned nursing unit while supporting nursing partners and helping ensure high-quality, coordinated care for patients and residents throughout the weekend.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and oversight for the assigned unit during the weekend.

  • Support implementation and monitoring of individualized plans of care.

  • Review changes in condition and help ensure timely clinical follow-up.

  • Coach, support, and provide direction to nursing partners on the unit.

  • Monitor documentation, medication and treatment practices, and compliance with nursing standards.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, interdisciplinary team members, patients, residents, and families.

  • Support staffing, workflow, quality improvement, infection prevention, and survey readiness activities.

  • Assist with maintaining continuity of care and effective communication throughout the weekend.

  • Promote a culture of compassionate care, teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where NHC HealthCare Oakwood is located, or a current multistate/compact license that permits practice in that state.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

  • Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or nursing leadership experience is preferred.

  • Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work the required Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule.

Sign-On Bonus
