Westminster Baldwin Park, has two open position for a Full Time Cooks to assist in our new Full Service Restaurant. We are a not-for-profit community service organization dedicated and committed to providing services for older adults.
We are currently searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA to work in the Health Center. In this role, the CNA is responsible to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with state and federal standards. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.
Schedule: Full Time|1st shit 6am - 2pm
Essential position functions:
- Assist patients/residents with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting, and other resident needs.
- Ensure that beds are made; trash has been removed, and a high level of hygiene is maintained in the room.
- Ensure that meals are served on time and assist residents with meals and feeding, if necessary.
- Take vital signs and report observations and any change in condition to the nurse.
- Practice infection prevention and control measures in compliance with Federal, State and facility requirements.
Qualifications
- Must be currently licensed in the state of Florida as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Must be CPR Certified.
Experience:
- One (1) year of long term care desirable. Home Health, Emergency Room experience helpful. Also experience working with developmentally disabled adults.
Required Skills:
- Ability to provide direct patient care while maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect.
- Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to transfer, lift, reposition, and assist residents safely using proper body mechanics and equipment.
