Description

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Registered Nurse to join our team at Brimingham Heart Clinc located in Birmingham, AL

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and coordinate patients’ plans of care.
  • Make sure clinic notes are prepped properly by MA prior to clinic
  • Convey patient problems, abnormal results to MD
  • Relay test results and MD treatment plan to the patient
  • Document in EMR all required information for each visit to patient
  • Obtain pre-authorizations for medication, diagnostic testing, and hospital procedures.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned and serves in whatever other capacity deemed necessary
  • May require travel to clinics in Gardendale, Pell City and Oneonta

Requirements:

  • Current Alabama State Nursing License

RESPONSIBILITIES The RN assists physician in the care and teaching of patients. QUALIFICATIONS Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Residence, with experience in IV therapy. The ability to assess patient needs and condition. Strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Current CPR certification. BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS will provide BLS course within first 30 days). Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills. Valid driver license for travel to clinics.
