Join Our Team as an RN/LPN Unit Manager

West Delray Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN/LPN Unit Manager to join our leadership team. In this vital role, you will support the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in delivering high-quality resident care while effectively leading and mentoring nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the DON and ADON in overseeing daily nursing department operations
Ensure nursing staff adhere to established policies, procedures, and job responsibilities
Address resident and family concerns, ensuring proper resolution and reporting
Manage unit operations, including staffing coordination and coverage
Monitor staffing efficiency to reduce overtime and limit agency usage
Provide supervision, guidance, and performance management for nursing staff
Implement progressive discipline when appropriate
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Teach, demonstrate, and evaluate clinical skills and competencies
Oversee MDS completion and ensure compliance with regulations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge processes
Prepare reports, review documentation, and assist with audits and data collection
Support recruitment efforts, including interviewing and hiring staff
Foster a compassionate, resident-centered care environment
Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as needed
Attend meetings and committees as assigned

Qualifications

Active and valid RN or LPN license in the state of Florida
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Prior experience in long-term care strongly preferred
At least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
