Job Summary:
MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Critical Care Unit at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, Maine.This is an opportunity to work alongside an experienced critical care team while caring for patients with complex medical needs. You'll gain valuable hospital experience while making a meaningful difference for patients and their families during some of their most vulnerable moments.
Job Description:
Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Critical Care Unit; Alfond Center for Health, Augusta
Schedule: 36 hours per week
Shift: Nights (7p-7a)
What You'll Do:
- Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical and spiritual needs.
- Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
- Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
What You Bring:
- Current State of Maine Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, required
- Previous healthcare or hospital experience preferred
- Previous acute care or critical care experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to recognize and report changes in a patient's condition
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Compensation Information:
$19.65 - $34.39The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
