Minimum Qualifications

The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:

Education and Formal Training

  • High school graduate or equivalent required

  • Current licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Compact state licensure

Work Experience

  • Must have at least 1 year of critical care experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language

  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills 

  • Verbal and written skills required 

  • Has knowledge of the age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs of the patients typically served

Department/Unit: Emergency Department Work Shift: Evening (United States of America) Salary Range: $59,066.00 - $88,599.00 The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of provider, registered nurse, or clinical care coordinator as prescribed by the New York State Practice Act. The LPN provides patient information to the health care team that influences the planning, provision, and evaluation of patient care. LPNs provide compassionate care that is respectful of each patient's needs, values and wishes.
