The pay range for this position is $87,035 minimum to $ 95,067 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.

Sheppard Pratt is searching for a Registered Nurse to serve in a non-supervisory role as Assistant Director for its Health Home program. The position will split time between Gaithersburg and Lanham, MD.

Sheppard Pratt's Behavioral Health Home supports clients who are receiving behavioral health services through various Sheppard Pratt programs and need additional physical healthcare support as part of their recovery journey. What to Expect

In this role, you will treat the "whole person" by identifying gaps and barriers between behavioral and physical healthcare to develop prevention initiatives that ensure all care needs are met.

Once assigned a patient, you'll ensure the implementation of their treatment plan in partnership with program leadership and staff, the individual, and their support system. You will be asked to:

Monitor treatment plan goals.
Coordinate access to medical providers and hospitals, including admission and discharge.
Ensure patients complete all required assessments, screenings, and immunizations.

In an effort to continually improve patient care, the Assistant Director will also:

Keep abreast of current trends and developments in the field.
Participate in the evaluation of program effectiveness and ensure continuous improvements in the quality of services.
Assist in the occasional training of Health Home staff, specifically nurses.
Identify quality improvement opportunities and population-level care management.
Develop and maintain partnership with external entities (hospitals, medical providers, and community organizations) that play a role in treatment plans.

As a Nurse Coordinator you will be stationed at the Towson hospital campus working Day and Evening shifts 7a.m.-7p.m., 36 hours weekly with rotating weekends. This position supports two units - Adult Co-Occurring Disorders Unit The Co-Occurring Disorders Unit is a safe and welcoming inpatient unit that is specially designed for the treatment of adults ages 18 to 65 who are experiencing more than one mental health condition. The individuals could be experiencing multiple psychiatric issues, which may include a substance use disorder. Many are experiencing recurring problems, triggered by stressful situations, life problems, and more. No matter how individuals come into our care, we help individuals safely get through this period of crisis and begin (or continue) their journey towards recovery. We are a short term psychiatric inpatient unit; we are not a rehabilitation facility, but are a starting point in the process of recovery. Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit The Crisis Stabilization Unit at Sheppard Pratt’s Towson campus is a safe and welcoming 22-bed inpatient unit that is specially designed for the treatment of adults with a mental illness. Individuals generally come to our unit for care after experiencing suicidal ideation, a suicide attempt, severe anxiety, or generally unsafe behavior. In general, we treat individuals who are experiencing one or more of the following disorders: major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety, bipolar disorder, a personality disorder, a dissociative disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. As a Staff Nurse you will: Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
