Summary

The Nurse Manager Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) manages the planning administering and evaluating of the operations and care delivery of the Broward Health Sunrise ER and the Holiday Park ER (when it opens in 2027). This individual will oversee professional practice clinical outcomes human resources management financial performance customer satisfaction and refinement in response to needs and trends.

Please note once the Holiday Park ER opens this manager will split their time between the 2 facilities.

Education

  • BSN (from an accredited school of nursing) or BS in related field required.

Experience

  • Five (5) years of related experience including 4 years of nursing ER experience.
  • FSED/ER management experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience building community relations preferred.

Credentials

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or holds a multi-state nursing license; or able to obtain license prior to start is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification within twelve (12) months of hire.

REGISTERED NURSE

OVERVIEW: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, supervises the nursing personnel and the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during an assigned tour of duty. Such supervision must be in accordance with accepted professional standards and current federal, state and local regulations to ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.
