The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse provides physical, emotional, and psychological support to patients with various mental health conditions and assists other nursing staff in coordinating care for this patient population. The Behavioral Health nurse participates in a multidisciplinary health care team and acts as a clinical resource to other staff.

I. Major Responsibilities:


1.    Assessment: Assess and document the patient's physical, psychological, and social needs using professional judgment.
2.    Planning: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and communicate individualized care plans.
3.    Implementation: Provide individualized care, apply de-escalation techniques, and act as a resource for psychiatric medication management.
4.    Evaluation: Evaluate and adjust care plans based on patient response and team input.
5.    Organizational Skills: Prioritize tasks effectively in dynamic and emergency situations.

1.    Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing for Registered Nurses
2.    Current RN license in Massachusetts
