Valley West is seeking a Regional Clinical Support Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare family. This is a pivotal, multi-site role that ensures consistent, high-quality care across our skilled nursing facilities while supporting our facility leadership in meeting clinical and regulatory standards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide on-site clinical support and guidance to nursing and interdisciplinary teams across assigned Valley West SNFs.

  • Assist with clinical audits, quality assurance initiatives, and compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA DOH) regulations.

  • Collaborate with facility administrators, DONs, and corporate leadership to improve clinical processes, reduce risks, and enhance resident outcomes.

  • Support facilities during surveys, transitions, staff development, and performance improvement planning.

  • Promote best practices in nursing care, documentation, and regulatory compliance through coaching, training, and hands-on support.

  • Participate in policy reviews and updates to ensure alignment with state and federal regulations.

  • Travel routinely to assigned locations to provide consistent regional support.

What You Bring:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Pennsylvania (required)

  • Minimum 2 years of long-term care experience in a leadership or support role

  • Strong knowledge of PA DOH regulations, survey readiness, and clinical quality standards

  • Ability to travel regularly within Pennsylvania to Valley West facilities

Specialty Functions: Performs transtelephonic pacemaker checks. Calls on scheduled time and is courteous. Gives instructions well and handles the technical aspects of receiving the transmission. Performs the clerical functions of distributing reports, filing after physician signature and billing. Performs pacer/ICD interrogations in the clinic and at bedside when ordered. Introduces self to patient and explains the test. Asks patient to state their name and date of birth and confirms by bracelet and requisition that this is the patient to receive the intended test. Satisfactorily performs all technical aspects of the exam for all vendor types. Works well with vendor reps and physicians gathering all the needed information for a thorough assessment of pacer/ICD function. Instructs patient and family in post implant care, need for telephone checks and clinic visit based on the type of device and manufacture's recommendations. Instructs patient and family providing written, person to person and video instruction when possible. Documents instruction given in the medical record.
