Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

AvaMed Workforce is seeking a qualified Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide nursing services at a facility in Wichita, Texas. This position offers $38.00 per hour with weekly pay and an alternating schedule based on the facility’s staffing needs.

Schedule

The facility operates Sunday through Saturday, with shifts alternating to meet staffing needs. Candidates must have availability to begin on the first of the month.

During the first month, completion of New Employee Orientation/New Nurse Orientation (NEO/NNO) is required. Orientation takes place Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

The LVN will be responsible for providing safe and appropriate nursing care to individuals at the facility, including:

  • Provide nursing services, including administering medications, immunizations, and treatments, and monitoring individuals for unusual symptoms or reactions.
  • Monitor weight, diet, feedings, vital signs, and overall health status.
  • Monitor for signs and symptoms of illness and use appropriate nursing judgment to provide adequate care, including initiating acute care plans when necessary.
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with the Nursing Process established by the Texas Board of Nursing (BON).
  • Complete computer data entry, reports, records, and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all facility Standard Operating Procedures, Joint Commission guidelines, facility policies and directives.

Requirements

Candidates must:

  • Hold a current LVN license and be authorized to practice nursing through the Texas Board of Nursing or a state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Not be excluded from providing services to individuals receiving Medicare or Medicaid.
  • Successfully complete required drug screening and criminal background checks, including fingerprinting and registry clearance.
  • Complete all required facility training, including facility CPR training.
  • Comply with all additional job requirements established by the facility.

Compensation

$38.00 per hour
