Responsibilities

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

 

  • Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state  regulations.

 

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required

Elon Manor is looking for LPNs to join our team. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities: Following the care plan, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes Assumes responsibility for assignments given, seeks supervision appropriately, and is accountable for his/her actions by performing within the limits of his/her education and experience Performs basic nursing procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and monitoring patient conditions. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and performs nursing procedures and techniques within scope of practice.
