Responsibilities

Reporting to the CNO, the clinical informaticist is the hospital liaison for clinical informatics to the Medical Staff, Pharmacy and other Clinical Departments. Responsibilities will include: 1. Physician systems orientation, CPOE execution, on-boarding, training and meaningful use compliance. 2. Clinical Pharmacy work model development with the Pharmacy Director. 3. Assessment of disease state management and development of processes to improve patient care. 4. With the Information Systems Department, develop reporting and data collection to support clinical departments.

Qualifications

Education: BSN required. Degree in clinical informatics or RNBC (Board Certified by the ANCC in nursing informatics) preferred.

Experience:

Critical Care work practice, Clinical Information Systems implementation, oversight or programming, Other positions requiring Medical Staff relationships and project development. Management experience.

Licenses/Certificates: Alabama Board of Nursing RN Degree. Current RNBC if no degree in clinical informatics, preferred.
