A New Path for CNAs: Transition Into ABA Therapy

At United Care ABA, we know many Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are ready for a fresh opportunity—to use their compassion and skills in a new way while building a long-term career. We are actively hiring Behavior Technicians (BT) who are passionate about working with children and ready to transition into the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This is a great fit if you’re looking for a second job to balance with day or night CNA shifts, or if you’re ready to make a full career change into ABA.

Why United Care ABA?

We’re not just offering a job—we’re offering a career path. At United Care ABA, we’re proud to support Behavior Technicians with tools, mentorship, and a team-based culture that helps you succeed and grow.

Hands-On Training: Learn while you work and prepare for RBT certification with guided support.

Regular Check-Ins and Clinical Supervision: You’ll have access to experienced BCBAs every step of the way.

Clear Path for Growth: We support your advancement from BT to RBT—and beyond.

Strong Team Culture: You’ll be surrounded by people who care about your development and client success.

We help you grow your skills so you can help children grow theirs.

What We Offer to Behavior Technicians:

  • Career Development: Structured support to help you become a certified RBT and explore long-term clinical roles.

  • Flexible Scheduling: Full-time and part-time positions available, with in-home and center-based work options. Perfect if you’re balancing CNA shifts while transitioning into a new field.

  • Supportive Work Environment: Training, guidance, and responsive administrative support.

  • Collaborative Culture: You’ll be part of a team that values communication, consistency, and client impact.

  • Paid Time Off and benefits for eligible full-time employees.

  • Competitive Hourly Compensation: Pay starting at $22–$25 per hour, based on experience, with potential for increase upon certification and performance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A passion for working with children and a desire to make a lasting difference.

  • Willingness to pursue RBT certification within your first few months of employment (required).

  • High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework in psychology, education, or related fields is a plus).

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.

  • Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow clinical guidance.

  • A long-term interest in growing within the field of ABA, including pursuing advanced care roles such as RBT and eventually BCBA.

Behavior Technician Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with children under the supervision of a BCBA to implement individualized ABA therapy.

  • Follow treatment plans and interventions designed to improve communication, behavior, and daily living skills.

  • Accurately record session data and provide feedback to supervisors.

  • Build strong, consistent relationships with clients and families.

  • Maintain professionalism and compassion in all interactions.

  • Participate in team meetings and complete required training.

Why You Should Join Us:

This is more than a job—it’s the start of a career with purpose. Whether you’re seeking a second job to complement your CNA shifts or planning a full transition into ABA, we want to meet you. At United Care ABA, you’ll gain the experience, mentorship, and support you need to thrive—starting from day one.
