Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Personal Care Assistant to join our team at SYNERGY HomeCare of Kinston in Havelock, North Carolina. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and dignity. Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care services to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as needed

  • Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, transferring, and ambulating clients

  • Monitor clients' vital signs and report any changes to management

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and infection control

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with clients and their families to ensure their needs are met

  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties as needed

  • Assist with medication management and administration, as authorized by our medical director

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous experience in home care or a related field preferred

  • Ability to lift and transfer clients, with or without assistance

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to care

Work Environment:

  • Part-time schedule, with flexible hours to accommodate clients' needs

  • Work in clients' homes, with occasional visits to our office for training and meetings

  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and caregivers
