Caregiver – Dementia Care Experience Preferred

A Place at Home – Pearland, TX

We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and dependable caregiver to support clients with their daily needs and help them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

Provide companionship and emotional support.
Support clients living with dementia or memory loss.
Assist with daily activities as needed.
Accompany clients on outings and activities they enjoy.
Help with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team.

Requirements:

At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
Experience supporting clients with dementia or memory loss is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of WellSky for caregiver scheduling, shift documentation, and clock-in/clock-out is preferred.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with clients who may be reluctant to accept care.
Good communication skills and reliability.
Ability to follow care instructions and respect each client's preferences and dignity.
Willingness to assist with outings and provide companionship.
Reliable transportation preferred for assignments involving client outings.
