What You’ll Do

  • Personal Care: Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meals while supporting safety, dignity, and independence.

  • Cognitive Support: Provide compassionate care for seniors living with dementia or other cognitive challenges, using gentle techniques to promote comfort and safety.

  • Companionship & Household Support: Offer conversation and emotional support, prepare meals, provide medication reminders, assist with light housekeeping, and communicate with families and care teams as needed.

Comfort Keepers is now hiring an in home health aide in the Avon area! Wage begins at $18 an hour unless Certified Nursing Assistant then $20 an hour. Eligible after 5 months of employment for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy. Part time and full-time hours available depending on your availability. About the Job As an in-home caregiver, you will clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities may include: Assistance with Activities of Daily Living. Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene. Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc. Meal planning, cooking and baking. Conversation and companionship. Interactive Caregiving. Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment. Assistance with medication. Dementia or Alzheimer’s care. Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed. Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares. Comfort Keepers Requirements Experience in a caregiving role. Must be available every other weekend and holiday. 21 years of age. High School Diploma or GED. Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
