Job Responsibilities

  • Providing compassionate nursing care as an LPN in post-acute facilities in the area
  • Monitoring residents' physical and mental conditions and tracking their vital signs
  • Performing resident intakes, documenting their medical histories and any health concerns
  • Helping with the administration and proper verification of medications, tracking their use and effects

Job Responsibilities • Greets patients and escorts them to the examination and/or procedure rooms. • Prepares patient for examination, obtaining and recording vital signs, weight, chief complaint and any other pertinent information using appropriate techniques specific to the ages served and; accurately transcribe results in patient’s chart. • Performs point of care lab testing and patient treatment as ordered by the physician. Assists in collection of statistical data as needed for performance improvement or operational requirements. • Answers telephone, screens and directs incoming calls and messages to the appropriate party, answers patient inquiries either in person or on the telephone within the limits of his/her knowledge and medical practice polices. • Travels to other IPG offices when needed to cover when requested. • Performs any other services deemed reasonable by physician or practice manager. Qualifications Experience and Education. Completion of an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania. Certified in basic CPR. A multi-tasked professional with at least 3 years of nursing experience, preferred. Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of medical terminology; first aid; equipment, supplies and instruments used in a medical office; clinical laboratory methods; universal blood and body fluid precautions; OSHA rules and regulations; established protocol for storing poisons, narcotics, acids, caustics and flammable items, restrictions imposed by various managed care carriers, various forms inherent to profession; patient confidentiality regulations.
