Job Responsibilities

Providing high-quality RN care in post-acute facilities
Reviewing various care options with the medical team, residents, and their family members
Coordinating with clinical teams to develop individualized care plans
Being accountable to follow and adhere to resident care plans
Administering appropriate medications and treatments to residents
Drawing fluids as needed for labs and testing
Using and monitoring medical equipment and devices to ensure effectiveness
Training and supervising nursing professionals and other care staff consistent with scope of practice guidelines
Promoting staff compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, facility policies, and nursing standards of care
Documenting all relevant data to include vital signs, nursing interventions and responses, and resident histories
Assisting staff members with incident investigations and the development of care best practices

Qualifications and Skills

Current Ohio state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Graduation from an approved nursing program
At least 6 months of experience (RN or related role)

The RNFA must, in collaboration with the patient, family and health care team members, possess and apply knowledge of the procedure and patient's intraoperative experience throughout the patient's continuum of care, addressing their physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs in relationship to their age and ability to respond. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: o Collects health data on a systematic and continuous basis through clinical interaction, records, assessment and consultation with the health care team members, demonstrating consideration of growth and developmental needs. Formulates nursing diagnosis based on health status data and establishes patient care goals based on nursing diagnosis. o Develops a plan of care that prescribes nursing actions to achieve patient goals. Implements nursing actions in transferring the patient according to the prescribed plan. o Demonstrates through clinical interaction with patients, knowledge of patient and family educational needs.
