JOB PURPOSE: As a Transportation Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant at PruittHealth Coastal Central, you will play an essential role in ensuring our patients and residents receive safe, timely, and supportive transportation to appointments, therapies, and activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Safely transport patients and residents to medical appointments, treatments, and approved outings • Assist individuals entering and exiting vehicles using proper lifting, transfer, and mobility techniques • Deliver hands-on CNA support including ADLs, personal care, and ambulation as needed • Maintain a positive, welcoming, and caring environment during all transport interactions • Complete transportation logs, mileage documentation, and schedules accurately and on time • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for all transport vehicles • Demonstrate adherence to infection control, safety regulations, and PruittHealth policies • Partner closely with nursing and administrative teams to coordinate smooth transport operations MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification • High School diploma or GED • CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications) • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record -Motor Vehicle Record is required as part of pre-employment. • 1 year of experience in skilled nursing, senior living, home health, or patient transportation • Familiarity with wheelchair lifts, securements, and mobility devices • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients safely • Excellent communication and service skills Family Makes Us Stronger. Student CNA Class - Become Certified for Free! Pay: 14.50-15.00 Depending on experience Thank you for your interest in taking the state certified nurse aide training program. Our program is a fast-paced class that is completed in 17 days. To be considered for the class, you must provide the following at the time of your interview: Completed Application Valid Photo Identification Social Security Card Since the class is only 17 days, no absences or tardiness is permitted. You must maintain a grade average of an 85 to continue in the course. We will run a criminal background check as well as consult the Tennessee and/or National Abuse Registry for Children and Adults. No one with a felony conviction, certain misdemeanor charges, and/or found on the abuse registry can be admitted to the class.
