Job Summary : Responsible for providing direct patient care. The Registered Nurse's responsibilities include but are not limited to utilization of the nursing process in the provision of care, excellent customer service skills and communication skills, flexibility, quality improvement activities and professional growth. Patient Services include, but are not limited to, outpatient surgery cases, AM admissions for surgery, myelograms, colonoscopy with anesthesia sedation, CT scans with guided needle biopsy and outpatient ECT’s. The Medical Assistant performs basic direct patient care activities, such as lab tests, treatments, and medication/immunization administration. These are performed under the direction of the Nurse and/or the physician in preparation for the patient's examination and treatment. The incumbent carries out clerical activities, quality control activities, performance improvement initiatives, etc. in support of the physician practice as assigned.
