BSN desired. Possession of valid state license as Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas. Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required. (NOTE: BCLS may be obtained individually or will be accepted without individual BCLS card with current ACLS documentation.) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 60 days of hire. Minimum of one-year experience in Preop, PACU, Emergency, or ICU. One-year perioperative experience in surgery center or hospital setting preferred. Working Conditions Temperature controlled environment. Employees should be Able to lift 50 pounds using proper lifting technique several times during their shift. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently, have cognitive skills for math, reading, filing and sterile technique skills. Communication skills to deal well with employees, patients, families and physicians. Vision for near, far & mid-range accommodation. Hearing for low, medium, and high pitch. Requires physical ability for long-term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching with reaching above head and below waist. Job Summary and Qualifications The role of the Super Float Pool Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director of the department to which the RN is assigned for his or her shift.
