Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyzes and interprets patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses Diagnoses and/or treats chronic or acute health care disease and illness Recommends diagnostic or therapeutic interventions with attention to safety, cost, invasiveness, simplicity, acceptability, adherence, efficacy, etc. Prescribes medications based on efficacy, safety, and cost as legally authorized basing dosages, routes, and frequencies on such patient characteristics such as age and gender Educates patients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' circumstances Orders, performs, or interprets the results of diagnostic tests, such as complete blood counts (CBCs), electrocardiograms (EKGs), and radiographs (x-rays) Maintains complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans and prognoses Recommends interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks Develops treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines Detects and responds to adverse drug reactions, particularly to vulnerable populations Studies current literature, talks with colleagues, and participates in professional organizations or conferences to keep abreast of developments in nursing Counsels patients about drug regimens and possible side effects or interactions with other substances, such as food supplements, over-the-counter (OTC) medications, herbal remedies, etc. Provides patients with information needed to promote health, reduce risk factors, or prevent disease or disability Performs additional duties as requested or assigned Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant program required Active TN state license required M inimum 0-3 years of prior experience in oncology and at least one (1) year of APP experience highly preferred. We are looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) in the Oak Ridge, TN area to provide assistance in daily living and personal care services in patients’ homes in accordance with a physician established care plan. This role is a 1099 contract opportunity, with care being provided at the patient’s residence. The current scheduling needs for this position will be established between the HHA, patient, and case manager. Shift: Monday through Friday 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Candidates need to be able to drive patient to doctors' appointments and help the patient stay active on a daily. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check. #PIQ Responsibilities Executes physician prescribed plans of care and compliant documentation of care provided in system of record. Administers prescribed treatments, and therapies. Performs patient assessments, coordination of care. Performs various activities associated with daily living, communications, and monitoring of vitals while working at the patient’s home. Will be working with patients in a comfortable environment where the service is one-on-one. Communicates with family members, doctors, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of patients. Performs other personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs. Requirements Current CPR, First Aid, and 2-Step TB Test Prefer experience in a clinical care setting, home health preferred. Good interpersonal skills. Prolonged standing and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
