Experience as a Registered Nurse, providing clinical care, generally equivalent to 1 or more years; experience in behavioral health strongly preferred. Knowledge of general addictions and psychiatric nursing process, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting crisis and behavior management strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Skill in the use of computer systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel). Demonstrated working knowledge of the Joint Commission/CMS requirements, and both state and federal regulatory requirements strongly preferred. Must be able to handle multiple competing task, with minimum supervision, and take initiative on matters of revolving urgency. CPR certification required. The Medical Support Specialist (MSS) is responsible for performing routine medical and testing procedures under direct supervision of the treating clinician as well as supports in other areas of the facility as needed including registration and referral management. The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians and non-physician providers (NPP) with patient care to include triage, charting, procedures, ordering and stocking of dermatology supplies. Responsibilities Triage all incoming patients by taking vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, reconciling medications, reconciling allergies, updating pharmacy, and all other pertinent Meaningful Use objectives (smoking status, race, ethnicity, language), and accurately recording in electronic health record.
