Job Requirements Our Licensed Vocational Nurses are part of a multi-disciplinary team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for assigned patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The role is all about the relationships and the bond you will create with the patients and their families. Work Experience Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current state licensure. Additional IV medication class, if required by state guidelines. Meets all state/licensing requirements. ESRD experience preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification. POSITION DESCRIPTION Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies as well as state, federal and local guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS Current LVN/LPN license in practicing state. Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one. Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required. RESPONSIBILITIES Follows established procedure for charting and incident reporting. Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction. Documents any change in patient's conditions including but not limited to nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or any other noticeable changes. Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs. Document and notify applicable departments of any patient's room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges. Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Key Responsibilities Assist in patient assessment and treatment planning in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act and Correctional Health Services policies. Administer medications and implement medical plans as directed by the Health Care Practitioner, utilizing proper techniques and procedures. Respond to emergencies and maintain safety through the implementation of established protocols and precautions. Implement nutrition and therapeutic diets and assist in medical procedures as necessary to meet patient needs. Document nursing encounters and communicate information to healthcare staff and supervisory personnel.
