Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by delivering precise instrumentation during complex cardiovascular and neurosurgical cases. Safeguard patient wellbeing by meticulously monitoring instrument counts and maintaining a sterile field throughout the entire operative journey. Support critical clinical outcomes by assisting surgeons with hemostasis and patient positioning to ensure optimal surgical access and safety. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Surgical Tech credentialed from the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. This paid program will assist you with the transition out of the classroom setting through a formalized series of learning experiences, including: Advanced clinical training in a specialty area. Monthly educational sessions. Preceptorship training with a facility preceptor. Measurement and evaluation of skills through hands-on simulations. Mentoring from experienced nurse leaders. Working collaboratively on an evidence-based practice project. The RN Resident coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN Resident provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN Resident serves as an advocate for patients, families and caregivers to support an unparalleled patient experience. What will you do in this role: Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
