Registered Nurse L and D Seasonal

Description Medical City Arlington Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Shift - PRN - Nights - Seasonal Rate : 65.00 an hour Guidelines for Seasonal RN & Clinical Tech Staffing Program runs from September 21, 2025 to April 4, 2026 PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS · All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. · Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need. · Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period. · During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee). · Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital. · Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy. · Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD) · Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation. · Current employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal program for 2025—26. · Current employees of HWS are not eligible for the seasonal program. · Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department. Job Summary and Qualifications The Labor and Delivery RN delivers professional nursing care to all patients in Fetal Diagnostic Center and Labor and Delivery. You will perform assessment and acuity assignment; follow standard of care utilizing Nursing Process in delivery of care; maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions. Daily assignment of an RN may include supervision of other nursing personnel and/or students. The employee performs all services as they may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for age/condition of patient. What you will do in this role: You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders What qualifications you will need: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. Compact license is accepted. Current BLS- Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required Must have recent Labor and Delivery acute care experience of at least 1 year Required 2+ year preferred in Labor and Delivery .
