Maintains accurate and timely documentation of care reflecting patient’s condition, treatment, and response to care. This includes the diagnosis, management, and referral of health care issues specific to Trauma and Emergency General Surgery (EGS). The APP will complete pre- and post-surgical management and recognize options for non-surgical management of trauma, EGS, and critically ill patients. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Trauma/EGS attending physicians, general surgery residents, and APPs to complete daily rounds on the trauma and surgical floors and in the intensive care unit (ICU). Respond to Emergency Department (ED) consults for EGS, collecting data and interpreting laboratory and imaging results to develop and document assessments and care plans. Perform bedside procedures for both surgical and non-surgical patients Work with the team to complete timely documentation and carry out care plans effectively.
