Job Title: Driver (CNA License Required) Location: Height Street Skilled Care – Bakersfield, CA Position Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: $18 – $22 per hour (DOE) Job Summary: Height Street Skilled Care, a skilled nursing facility in Bakersfield, is seeking a reliable and compassionate Driver who is also a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This dual-role position is responsible for safely transporting residents to and from appointments while providing basic patient care and support as needed. Key Responsibilities: Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and other scheduled trips Assist residents in and out of vehicles, ensuring comfort and safety at all times Provide CNA-level care and support during transport and within the facility as needed Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure routine safety checks are completed Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding resident needs and schedules Follow all safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines Qualifications: Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in California (required) Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to safely assist residents with mobility needs CPR/BLS certification preferred Benefits: Competitive pay based on experience Supportive team environment Opportunities for growth and development
