How you'll contribute A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivering treatments, assisting in assessments, and supporting interdisciplinary care planning in accordance with the patient's needs. Essential Functions Administer medications safely, accurately, and based on patient age and clinical condition. Minimize potential for medication errors by following proper medication administration procedures. Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy. Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions. Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision. Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the interdisciplinary plan accordingly. Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families. Perform all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and reduces medical errors. Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs. What we're looking for Applicants should have a current Pennsylvania LPN license and is a graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program. Additional requirements include: CPR/BCLS certification required Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
