Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate, Walk in Care

Description MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital in beautiful Rockport, Maine is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join its Walk in Care team. This position is a full-time position caring for patients of all ages with minor medical issues and injuries on a walk-in basis. We are seeking a PA or NP who is looking to work in a fast-paced environment caring for various medical conditions as part of a patient centered team. Providers work collaboratively with our Walk-in care support staff, primary care, and emergency medicine teams. Our facility is currently open 7 days a week providing care during 10-hour shifts. We work together, support one another, and stay focused on what matters most: delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.Hours are 7 days a week the clinic is open 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. No call or night shift coverage. This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience. For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience! Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. Summary MaineHealth Walk-In Care - Damariscottais seeking a full time Registered Nurse. The RN provides high quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice. MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level included automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).
