Licensed Practical Nurse

FT Monday-Friday 7a-3pm FT Mon, Tues, Wed, and Fri 3p-11p Qualifications: Current Florida licensure as an LPN and documentation of successful completion of a pharmacology course and/or examination, plus one year experience in psychiatric nursing and one year experience in medical/surgical nursing. Proven leadership skills. Applicants who receive their licensure while working at PEMHS and who have shown good judgement and initiative may have their experience requirement waived. Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, twist, bend and stand for long periods. Must be able to transport self from building to building and differing locations. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing. Job Function: Assists in the implementation of consumer care and administers medications to consumers according to established protocols. Special Working Conditions: Exposure to consumers and all possible program emergencies and conditions; to possible irregular and on-call working hours; to a variety of work locations as the need arises.

Qualifications: Registered Nurse with Florida licensure. One year experience in mental health nursing inpatient setting and one year experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, twist, bend and stand for long periods. Must be able to transport self from building to building and differing locations. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing. Job Function: Responsible for the delivery of professional nursing care and milieu management for assigned mental health program, administering medications and supervising crisis technicians, unit assistants and milieu specialists in their delivery of services. Works closely with members of the treatment team to enhance communication and provide quality consumer care.
