Cardiac RN Position Summary The Cardiac RN p rovides nursing care to patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring, cardiac infusions, and pre and post op Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab procedural care. The Cardiac RN is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. The RN acts as a patient advocate. Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Radiation Therapy Certificate Course preferred. Full-time and part-time staff are required to complete within 1 year of hire/transfer and maintain certificate renewal per ONS. National Oncology Certification (OCN) preferred; Full-time and part-time staff are required to obtain within 3 years of hire/transfer and maintain certification renewal per ONS. Clinic is staffed day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4pm. Hours for coverage needed are varied based upon clinic needs at that time. Position Requirements Three (3) years inpatient cardiology-based experience such as Progressive Cardiac Unit, Critical Care Unit, Cardiac Step Down, Cardiology Lab Environment, etc. required. One (1) year of experience reading and interpreting telemetry required. Experience in a medical office setting in the selected specialty, preferred. Experience working with EKG’s, cardiac medications and treatment protocols preferred.
