Staff Nurse, Emergency Department - Per Diem

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse position is to skillfully administer total patient care in accordance with Emergency Nursing Standards of Practice, provides leadership and clinical expertise in the assessing, planning and delivery of emergency care. Provides specialized primary nursing care for acutely ill and injured trauma cases in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Critical Care or Medical/Surgical experience preferred. BLS required. Must maintain valid certification by the American Heart Association in basic life support (BLS). ACLS and PALS required within twelve (12) months of employment and must maintained throughout employment. Phlebotomy Certification or IV Certification is required. Proficiency in the English language is required. BSN preferred. Successful completion of a Progressive Care Course or Progressive Care Certification preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word. Ability to employ problem solving techniques and critical thinking. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to organize care/activities of multiple patients.
