Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our surgical team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The OR RN will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of patient care in the operating room environment. You will be involved in pre-operative assessments, assisting during surgeries, and post-operative recovery, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care before, during, and after their procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Staff Nurse I – Operating Room – Outpatient Surgery Center (SCB)

Position Summary The Staff Nurse I provides direct patient care and takes the initiative to improve patient outcomes by integrating Shared Leadership, Evidence Based Practice, Relationship Based Care, and standards of nursing excellence into clinical practice. This position integrates professional practice model, current standards of practice and clinical experience to provide "quality" patient care as measured by established nursing quality standards and other governing/accrediting health care bodies. The Staff Nurse I engages and obtains information from patient and/or family to advocate for the patient, develops an appropriate patient educational plan, and responds to patient's changing needs while sharing information and collaborating with other members of the health care team to promote effective patient care. The Staff Nurse I participates in organizational, departmental, and shared leadership activities; supports department and unit goals in daily behavior. The Director/CNCII, acting as coach and mentor, provides direction, guidance, and feedback regarding practice and performance. The employee’s performance is evaluated annually in writing and more frequently if needed. The employee and Director meet on an as-needed basis for coaching and mentoring, where support, guidance, and direction can be given.
