Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Full Time

Job Summary:

Lotus Village Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our skilled nursing facility in Independence, Virginia. As a valued member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the healthcare needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating

  • Take and record patient vital signs, lifting, moving, and transporting residents using proper body mechanics

  • Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to nurse management, asking appropriate questions to clarify situations

  • Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors

  • Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff

  • Assist the nurse with various duties as directed

Requirements:

  • Current Nursing Assistant certification from the state of Virginia

  • Current/active CPR certification, preferred

  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills

  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Customer service orientation with the ability to work well under pressure

  • Compassionate and friendly demeanor
