Position Overview
We are seeking a leadership-minded RN Unit Manager to supervise and elevate the delivery of care to our residents. In this vital role, you will assess resident needs, develop comprehensive care plans, evaluate clinical outcomes, and manage floor nurses and CNAs.
Key Responsibilities
• Clinical Supervision: Supervise assigned nursing staff (LPNs and CNAs), assign daily duties, make regular rounds to monitor resident status, and ensure a safe, supportive working environment.
• Resident Care Management: Complete thorough resident assessments at admission and discharge, develop individualized care plans, and review clinical charting weekly for accuracy.
• Quality & Compliance: Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives, educate staff on facility policies, and track infection control or resident care trends.
• Leadership & Operations: Work closely with the Director of Nursing to resolve staff, family, or resident grievances; manage unexpected staffing shortages by arranging for replacement coverage.
Requirements
• License: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of related clinical nursing experience; prior supervisory or charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Certifications: Active CPR certification required.
• Skills: Exceptional professionalism, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain strict resident confidentiality.
• Traits: Ability to function independently with personal integrity, manage stress under pressure, and build favorable working relationships across all levels of the facility.
